School of Molecular

Call for applications to the SMTB-2021 closed

The admissions to the School of Molecular and Theoretical Biology 2021 is now closed. Due to the current pandemic situation we are not sure if SMTB is possible offline in 2021. If the situation improves, SMTB-2021 will take place at the University of Tartu in Estonia from 3 to 19 August, 2021. If not, SMTB 2021 will provide an online experience, similar to that we have done in 2020, that will start in mid-July and end in mid-August. The final decision, and the exact dates for the online version, will be announced in mid-May.

For this call we accepted applications in Russian and English from students of any nationality that have not yet begun their studies at the University. Evaluation of received applications will take approximately two months. Some applicants may be invited by the Admission Committee to an additional video call or phone interview.

Since 2016, SMTB is generously supported by the Zimin Foundation.

The SMTB Admission Committee thanks everyone who applied this year. We are also grateful to everyone who helped spread the word about the School and the ongoing call.

The School of Molecular and Theoretical Biology does not discriminate, in the admission process or otherwise, on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, disability or any other potentially discriminatory factors or circumstances.
